Myth-Information

Or as I like to call it: ‘Weird S**t I’ve heard’ stated as fact but with no research behind the statement.

‘My genes are the reason I’m fat, got knee problems, bad back, poor memory.’
Genes account for approx 5% of what’s happening in our body. Epigenetics, what you do in your day, as well as your beliefs, determine your health and body function. You are in control, not genetic destiny.

‘I eat a healthy diet.’ Eating cereal/grains for breakfast, juice or a big green smoothie is commonly viewed as ‘healthy’. No. In fact, it’s causing more harm longterm.

Superfoods
These were originally used as medicine. They are not meant to taken in daily. They are overloading the system. Most are causing inflammation. Anything in excess is a toxin in the body. Read Oxalates, ‘superfoods’ are toxic. The caterpillar has more of a survival instinct.

‘Milk is good for you.’
No. We are not baby cows. No other animal suckles off a different species. We are not babies. We don’t need milk. Again, no other animal continues to drink milk at full maturation. BTW, if you don’t have enough magnesium (no longer in our soil/food), the calcium you think you are drinking milk for, will go into your kidneys (stones), gall bladder (stones), BUT not in your bones.

 Glycemic Index GI
This is the GI of each individual food/drink. We usually eat a combination of food. The GI is affected, lower/higher, by what is accompanying the food. Protein and fat slow down the rate of uptake GI. Sugar and grains increases the rate of uptake and therefore insulin spike.

Bulged discs
Everyone has bulged discs at some time. A healthy body allows this to happen and reset naturally. The growth of bone spurs is how the body protects the discs until they reset. These bone spurs then recede naturally.

 Sexual (dys)function (men)
If it ‘aint up in the bedroom, or you don’t wake with a kickstand, losing your daily erection, talk to your doctor. It’s a red flag there’s a long term health problem with your blood pressure. Don’t accept it as a natural ageing process.

‘Yeah but I can’t …. ‘
You can’t have excuses and results at the same time. Piss or get off the pot. Stop wishing for change. Do the change.

Addictions
Addicts can’t do moderation. Total abstinence is the only way. If you can’t totally stop something that is causing you potential harm, get help.

‘I fast til noon’.
But you have milk in your coffee. You’re not fasting, you’re feeding. Milk supplies all the ‘food’ for babies. Don’t you think that is food you’re putting in your coffee?

‘I just want to lose weight’
Do you want to be skinny in your pre-mature death? Focus on your health, and your body will return to its natural body fat content.

‘I eat low fat but I’m still fat’
Of course you are. Your body is holding onto fat because it’s essential for the function of every cell. Food fat does not make you fat. Sugar, grains, and carbs do. 

 ‘I’m still fat though I eat only vegetables and fruit.’
Yep—carbs without protein or fat—your body will hold on to whatever fat it can find, your stored fat.

‘I don’t eat much’
Probably not enough. The body slows the metabolic rate when there isn’t enough food. It is smarter than you. It is determined to survive.

‘I train hard 6 days a week and run marathons.’
If the body is chronically inflamed, the mitochondria doesn’t function to provide energy. Training a depleted body will be overtraining and eventually result in a break down. The break down is how the body forces you to rest. See… smarter than you.

‘Healthy low fat, vegetarian’
Nope, no way is this healthy. It is nutrient-deficient in so many ways, starving your body and your brain with no transport system for nutrients to cross the blood-brain barrier. You’re heading for Alzheimer’s on that eating program. Note: there have no studies (none, zip, zero) to prove a vegetarian diet is healthy. How did we get so brainwashed? 

‘I don’t eat bacon because of the nitrates’
Ummmm … there are more nitrates in your saliva and the celery juice you’re consuming in massive doses than in bacon. Bacon that is listed as ‘nitrate free’, uses celery juice or powder as a preservative instead of salt. Celery is high is oxalates and nitrates.

‘High cholesterol will kill you early.’
Our brains need cholesterol. It’s vital for neurotransmitter function, that is brain cells able to communicate with each other; and the synapses that connect neurons and facilitate learning and memory. What does low cholesterol look like? Right. Alzheimers and dementia.

‘They’ say it’s healthy.’
Who are these individuals that you are quoting as a fact? Who is influencing your health habits? What research have they done? Are they willing to state their reputation on what they are telling you?
